Are you on a really tight wedding budget?

Trying to keep that wedding inexpensive and stay within the allotted budget can be a real challenge at times but if there’s one thing that you absolutely have to have on your big day it is the wedding photos. If this day is to properly keep its place in time you will definitely want to have some photos that you can look at 20 years from now and reminisce over.

The quality of your wedding photos is extremely important as they are your only chance to capture these moments for life, so it is well worth taking plenty of time to get the best photographer possible, depending once again on your finances.

Sometimes hiring a professional wedding photographer is totally out of the question. What do you do then?

Don’t worry, all is not lost. If you are working with a very tight budget trying to keep the wedding inexpensive then it might be necessary to rely on family and friends to take the photos of your wedding. If that is the case then make sure that you have several people taking the photos so you have a wide enough selection of photos to choose from. This is critical!

Where there are no professional photographers present you are going to have to rely on quantity to help you find the quality shots that you will be pleased with.

Fortunately these days most people seem to have access to digital cameras so there won’t be any added expense for them to take hundreds of photos, and that will allow you that wider selection to choose from.

Today’s digital cameras have very high resolutions with even the medium priced ones offering almost professional quality prints. One other aspect of digital photography that will play into your favor is that fact that you can use these digital images and enhance and manipulate then with various programs such as Photoshop to get a truly professional looking image.

To be safe, it might even be well worth investing in a good digital camera yourself. This way you can get someone to use it for taking photos at your wedding and then you can then take it away on your honeymoon with you to capture all the images of that too.

They are a relatively small investment for the ongoing enjoyment that they can bring with the unlimited photos that you will be able to take. The only added expense might be for a little more memory but the cost is minimal.

After the wedding when you have recovered from the expense there are even services available these days where professionals can take your digital images and upgrade them for you with digital imaging allowing you to only pay for the specific images that you have chosen as special.

Oh one more thing before I go. If you really want to know how to take great photos, I mean things like how to avoid reflections, how to avoid shadows behind your subject, how to avoid red eye etc. You should really check out this guide by Bobby Jones. He’s the author of the The Wedding Portraiture and Group Photography Guide and you can get the guide here with personal email support at www.photobiz4u.com

I suggest you give it a good read, pick up some of his amazing tips and then share it among the others who will be taking photos at the wedding. Yes, you can get lucky every now and then and find an awesome shot that someone may have taken but there’s no reason to leave it totally up to chance. After all this is your big day so go get yourselves a bit of a crash course and you will have great inexpensive photos and still make your wedding inexpensive!
